- I'm married and live in Lapeer County. I've always been an avid outdoorsman - fishing, canoing, camping, but it wasn't until summer of 2007 that my brother talked me into purchasing a bow. I had tried doing a little shotgun hunting in 2006, but it just wasn't really all that appealing to me - so with quite a bit of prompting from my brother I finally went to my local archery shop and purchased a slightly used Matthew's Outback. The bow had no signs of wear on the grip and the strings looked brand new - it came with a peep and a quick tune rest, with a cobra sight....all for 325.00, it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Thank goodness I didn't.
I'm really interested in getting in touch with other people that are interested in quality deer management programs and am also interested in possibly leasing or purchasing some land to start my own quality deer management project. My brother and I have been doing quite a bit of research about management in the state of Michigan and have come up with the conclusion that our state is lagging behind in management coordination programs - we'd like to get it up to date.
